I've noticed that after downloading a .pcf, the 3000 frequently acts flaky. The screens come up, but none of the hard or soft buttons work, or only work half the time. In other words, they stop controlling their associated devices. A reboot usually restores button functionality to normal. Has anybody else experienced this "feature" ?

Application Version 2.0.38.1
Database Version V1.2.1
Boot loader version Boot V2.35b

I don't no what you mean by "feature" :)

but no I have not experienced this and I have done 100's of downloads to the Pronto. I have noticed the slow downs after extended use and simply popping out a battery and putting it back takes care of that.

Instead of popping out the battery, does the RESET button work?

Yes, I use the reset button whenever I need to reboot, which is every time I do a download. Which brings up another bug. The clock gets reset to 12:00 AM every time I reboot the 3000.

I believe that happens to the Pronto as well. Not a bug as much as a limitation.

I'd call it a bug. The 2000 doesn't have this problem. (I just tested it to be sure. A hard reset doesn't affect the clock or any other settings.)

Another 3000 bug I've encountered is that the light sensor setting is ignored after a hard reset. You have to go back to the config screen and set it again for it to stick. All these settings should be stored in non-volatile ram, like on the 2000. They shouldn't get lost or ignored after a reboot or download.
