Anyone knows if new TSU3000 (and new docking station)for it will use same rechargable pack as old Pronto does?
Asking this since I already have two of these.
Thanks

I haven't received my 3000 yet (it's in transit) but I don't think its possible that the 3000 and the old Pronto (you do mean the 2000, don't you?) could use the same battery pack. The battery compartment on the 3000 is sized for 4 AAA batteries while the Pront uses 4 AA batteries, which are larger.

ndor nailed it. They DO NOT use the same battery pack.

Sorry

I wouldn't think you would have much problem selling those battery packs though. Everyone I know who has a pronto has had to replace theirs so I am sure there is a need. If my charger hadn't gone out on me I would buy one myself but instead I need a new charger and pack So I'll just buy a new DS1000. :(

Sorry

One thing I did notice, that got me excited that maybe we could use AA's: There is a removable "adapter tray" of sorts within the NG battery area. I yanked it out but it still looks too small for AA's. Maybe Phillips has a special sized rechargable pack for this model which might provide more life than AAA's and be closer to AA's You might just have to remove the adapter to put it in.

On the older Prontos do the batteries plug into the plug next to the battery area, or do they connect to the two end spring connections that the current batteries use?
