Any one used VITO oscilloscope? and know of a utility to convert its saved file output type .irs to a ccf hex code?

Have tried Vert.exe IR converter program, but it does not support the irs file format

You may want to post this question to John Fine in the Discrete Hunter Forum.

I read this forum too, and I never heard of .irs files before.

Neil,

Let's try solving the problem a different way. What type of equipment are you trying to decode? What command are you looking for? There are a several IR libraries out there and one of us will usually know how to convert/decode what is out there.

Jon,
I am not working on any particular bit of kit at the moment. I have the oscilloscope prog running on an iPAQ 5450, and was hoping to be able to learn and convert codes to ccf using this prog.

Using a PDA and different Pronto 'emulator' type software, Total Remote, NetRemote, PDAWin TVR etc, the learning of codes in these programs can sometimes be erratic, while the learning ability of the VITO Oscilloscope program is very reliable.

For some of those akward codes that TVR, TR, NR etc can't learn or learn incorrectly, VITO scope works great, learning and replaying the codes, perfectly, the IR engine in the software is far better. If I could get these codes that it saves in .irs format to a ccf hex, many problems solved.

If the .irs format is fairly simple, I probably can figure out how to decode it. If you want me to try, email .irs files for a few signals each of a few different devices (and tell me what the devices are). I've figured out a few different formats in which IR signals are stored just be looking at the raw data and spotting the pattern of an IR signal.

OK, thanks John

I have sent you an email with irs files and ccf from the same device
