I put my Pronto Pro RU970 on charge last night and the lights on the docking station came on then went straight of again and it has not worked since which has left me unable to recharge my remote. Do you think that this is a problem with my docking station or the batteries in the remote.

Have you tested the power supply to the docking station, is it giving a voltage out of the transformer?

If the lights stay out, it's most likely the dock. Checking the wall wart, as mentioned above, should be done first.

The docking station is fairly simple inside, a shop which repairs small electronic devices should be able to find what the problem is and repair.

I've had this problem before. I checked the voltage coming out of the wall and took apart the docking station, but couldn't figure it out. Turned out it was a loose connection between the wall adapter and the charger. Fixed it with a piece of tape.

Had the same problem 2 weeks ago. The error was the fuse in the docking station. After replacing the fuse, the docking station was as new…

Fuse in the docking station?

Is that a solid state fuse, mine is dead too. Where abouts is it on the board?

The fuse is found left most top and looks like normal resistant. It is black and has printed:
bel ½ A
MS 125V

On the print is further more printed T500mA.
Don’t know if it is a solid-state fuse!

Hope that you can find it. If not I will gladly send you a picture showing the exact location.

Could you explain to me how I can take the docking station apart? I do not see any screws to unscrew so I am not sure how to dismatle. I am having the same problem with the docking station lights not working and docking station not charging my TSU6000. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Eariler I posted a similar problem. My TSU2000 has gone through three docking stations, 1 used, two brand new. Philips replaced the new one which came last Friday and stopped charging just yesterday morning.

Does anyone think the TSU2000 may have developed a problem that keeps draining these batteries/chargers?

AA NIMH batteries only retain their charge for less than 36 hours.

I am clueless on this problem.

Without the Pronto, I would need 7 remotes!

I hope Philips tech support is open this morning and I can get through.

Hi Everyone,

I also have a dead docking station and my pronto pro is about to stop working becasue i can't recharge the batteries.

I have found and removed the 4 screws under the base feet stickers, but the 2 halves of the docking station do not want to come apart. Can anyone please tell me how to get in without damaging the unit?

Hi Gavin,

The silver top half has three lugs on each side, one or two on the top and one or two on the bottom. The best way is to use a plastic wedge, like a credit card, and prise the black lower half of the lugs one by one. It is a tight fit!!
