I have followed the directions in the manual to assign my left and right buttons as well as the mute, channel + -, and volume + -, but they will not work on a global basis, they work when I am on the home page and the mute and channel buttons work on the TV screen but thats it. the left and right buttons only work from the home page. I relabeled these on the home page and the new label does not follow to the other screens, i.e. tv, dvd, etc.. anyone have a cure for this or some info I am not getting correct? thanks in advance!

Mike,
My guess is that there is something programmed in these buttons on the other devices by default. The global function works based upon no other programming being done.
One fix would be to go in and teach in each of the modes. Another fix will be to use the software when it releases as this will also allow you to "see" what's in those buttons on teh other device screens.

Mike: Yes, I feel Jack is correct - try DELETING the channel / volume buttons on a component and seeing if your global signals work.
