Mike,
My guess is that there is something programmed in these buttons on the other devices by default. The global function works based upon no other programming being done.
One fix would be to go in and teach in each of the modes. Another fix will be to use the software when it releases as this will also allow you to "see" what's in those buttons on teh other device screens.
