I can not program the source settings from the yamaha 2092.The pronto seems to learn the commands because it flashes ok. Then when I try to set the source, tape,cd,dvd, tuner, etc it won't work.I have tried several times, changed batteries in the 2092 remote, and reset the pronto. My other components work fine and were no trouble to program.Any suggestions? Thanks Dave

I have a Yamaha 2092 also. I did have some teaching the pronto a few of it's commands. I discovered what I was doing wrong and did not have any problems after that.

Here is what I was doing that was giving me problems. I would press and hold the button I want to learn on the Yamaha remote, and then begin the learning process on the Pronto.

The correct way to do it that solved all my problems, was to do it like this. I would start the learning process on the Pronto (ie get it into that state where it is looking for an IR signal to learn) and then Tap the Yamaha Key.

I hope that helps. I can definately say don't give up because I did get it to work and it is way better than the yamaha remote!

Possibly your problem was that the Yamaha was sending a macro with the lid closed? Even if you didn't program the macros yourself, I believe the Yamaha defaults to a macro which turns on the power to the corresponding Yamaha component. With the lid open (or with the slide switch set to the macro off position), it only switches the receiver to the appropriate source mode.
