I have a Radioshack Universal Remote model number 15-2116. I have upgraded my system, and I would like to know if anyone has the codes for the following Sony Devices:

Sony Reciever STR-K740P
Sony DVD Recorder RDR-GX300
Radioshack 8-in-1 Universal Remote 15-2116

There isn't a code for the DVDR, but for the receiver you will need to switch codesets, to one that is in the 2116. see this thread. Once you change from AV2 to AV1, the code will be AUD 1058.

there is no way to get the DVDR?

Will it be possible in the future or its just not possible with this remote?

Also, could you explain the reciever in more detail, I really don't understand that thread.

Which buttons on the remote will change the source? (Go from video 1 to video 2 to dvd)?

It is possible if you build or buy a jp1 cable and create your own upgrade for the 2116. For more information on how flexible these remotes can be, see www.hifi-remote.com.

With most receivers the number buttons change the source. With the 2116, you can place macros on the device selection buttons, so you could make them the source select.
