Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and haven't found my answer in the forum, so here goes.

I just bought my wife a new Sylvania 6720FDE (TV/DVD/VCR) combo.
We also have the basic TiVo 40 hour machine coming in the mail.

So far, I successfully programed our Dishnetwork 311 reciever in it.

Does anybody have any experiece with the other hardware I've mentioned?
We can't seem to find the codes for the Sylvania or TiVio.

Do I have to get a different remote?
I tried to download the info from the Tv without success.

Thanks in advance for ANY help.

You have choice of VCR0618 or SAT1142 for the tivo. You're going to need to have DVD code 1944 loaded over the phone to the 9910 for sylvania combo.

Hi Edmond, thanks for the FAST responce!

Can you explain a little more about load over the phone?
I didn't see that in the owner's manual.

The codes I tried so far were 0054/0081/0030 without luck.

Thanks

The 9910 has built-in modem, for upgrading over the phone. You need to call the # in manual, Mon-Fri, before 5:30 EST. You need a corded landline. If there was code preset into the 9910 I would've given it to you.

Thanks very much. I didn't see it in the manual.
That's why I asked. I appreciate you clarifying it. :-)

Hi Everyone,

I decided I am going to take the TV back because we noticed a problem in the CRT.

We are going to get a seperate Sylvania 6420FE TV and a Sylvania DVC845E VCR dvd combo.

Since DVD VCR combos aren't listed, will programing the VCR and DVD seperately work?

Thanks again,
Andy Knifel

Try DVD 0675 and VCR 0000. You may find that only one of them operates the power on/off function.

Thanks Alfaman,

I settled on a Sylvania 17MF200V for the bedroom.
The code that worked was 1254.
Then I exchanged the remote for the 8910 at OFas suggestion.
The salesman recommended the Toshiba DVD / VCR combo.

All the codes seem to work no problems now.

I appreciate everones help.
