Has anyone found a working code for the Konka K2001UM for the 6131? Or am I going to have to send it in? I have tried all of the Konka codes listed on the website and none work. Search doesn't seem to either.

There are 4 codes listed for konka in the 6131 manual and none of hem worked? Did you try all of keys,in all 4 codes and not just the power key?

None of those codes are the ones listed for konka in my 6131 manual, they're 0711, 0719, 0720, 0721.

I should of been more clear. The product is a TV, not a DVD.

You need to send it in for an upgrade.

Actually, I sent mine for an upgrade and when I got it back it still will not work. All they did was add codes to the remote that were already listed in the manual :(

The two newest UEI made remotes still don't list a code Konka Tv's. These remote are the RS 15-2142 and the UEI made White Directv remote.

Are you sure you understand which codes they added?

Which codes are those (type and 4 digit number)?

This is stated in the package they sent back. Which seems odd since those codes are listed in my manual already. They already knew I tried the current codes. So basically, OFA just wasted 2 weeks with me sending in the remote. If I knew it was going to be this much trouble I would of just got the Harmony.

SAME PROBLEM HERE!!!!! I've tried programming three different universal remotes to the k2001um television and .....NOTHING! Searches turned up nothing much. And when i finally found the tv in the US is was discontinued on every site I visited. However if you don't mind spending the money to purchase the remote control then you can visit www.remotes.com. They have a remote control that they say will work for this television. They charge nearly fifty bucks for it though. Quite frankly that's to much for me. I think I'll just pawn the darn thing and buy another TV. Just thought I'd let you guys know that there is one out there if your willing to spend that kind of money for it. By the way, they offer a money back gaurantee and one year warranty. GOOD LUCK!

Well, the good thing about sending the remote to OFA for an upgrade is they return a JP1 capable remote. So it was easy to load the Konka upgrade onto it to get it to work. In the end it was much cheaper to do this although it does require a lot of work and technical knowledge to use the JP1 software.

IIUC, OFA upgraded your 6131, adding a eeprom and maybe adding some setup codes.

Either they didn't add the right setup codes, or they didn't communicate to you which setup codes they added, so it still didn't work.

So you found and added the right upgrade by JP1.

Probably by now they know what the right setup code is, so the next person sending in a remote for upgrade (or using the phone for a phone upgradeable model) will get the right one.

Using a JP1 cable can certainly get you better results than merely getting the right upgrade from OFA. But for those who don't want to use JP1, your experience shouldn't convince them that OFA can't do this upgrade correctly.

An OFA upgraded remote should cost a lot less than the $50 quoted above.

BTW, before loading the right upgrade, did you download and save the eeprom contents as upgraded by OFA to see what they really gave you?
