It sometimes helps to know the model of your remote.

I couldn't find any info on IR signals for Craig TVs other than at the OFA code search page. That said it was TV/0180.

Maybe Rob knows some better source of information, for which the model of the TV would indicate some other choice.

My first guess from the above description is that TV/0180 is correct and you tested it incorrectly.

The model of your remote would let us determine whether TV/0180 is present (most models have it. Some don't), and might let us give you some hints on being sure you're testing TV/0180 correctly.

If TV/0180 is really wrong, I can't think of a good choice other than calling OFA customer support.

The only other information I could find quickly on TV/0180 is that it is used by a Scott TV, model HTS2700. Since it's such a rare code set, there is probably some close relationship between Scott and Craig brands. If you did some web search to check that relationship, you might turn up data indicating what other brand/model a Craig TV might match now (again assuming TV/0180 is not correct for your model).

The old OFA site lists 5 different setup codes for Craig: 037, 161, 180, 282, 171
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

The code list for the URC-3300 lists 3 more: 0157, 0158, 0180, 0185
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Though many other lists do indeed just show the 0180 code.

I guess that's more reason to know the model of OFA remote. 0180 is in most of them, but some of those other codes aren't.

With the model of remote, we know which of those codes are built-in and what it would take to add and try the ones that aren't (for some remotes that can be done by .wav file).

He might have the new DTV remote, in which case the code would be 10180.:)

Given that information, it looks like your remote has a code for Emerson, Funai, Sears, Squareview, Sylvania, and Symphonic TVs that matches one that Rob provided, 0171. I would try that one.

the remote model is URC 3021

I guess that rules out TV/0180 as that's the only Craig TV code listed in the manual.

Do you still have the original Craig remote? If so, you could get a learning remote. Even better, get a JP1 compatible remote and a JP1 cable and you'll be totally set.
