I have a Toshiba sd-h400 combo dvd/Tivo unit and can't get the remote to accept any of the codes in the book (none listed for the unit) and the "2" codes that the mfgr sent me do nt work either. Any ideas?

You need to use the toshiba dvd code, 0503, see this thread. If you have the 9960, use these step to map the advanced codes:

1. press device(DVD)
2. press and hold SETUP
3. press OTHER
4. enter 9-9-4
5. press device key(DVD)
6. press SETUP, do not hold
7. enter 3-digit advanced code
8. pick a key
