I'm in need of codes for the Cinema 7 for a Technics SL-MC7 CD player.

Thanks Charlie O.

If you mean you need an advanced code list, it
would help if you told people the device code
which operates your device.

If you mean that you are looking for a device
code to operate your device, have you tried the
Technics CD device code 0029? Failing that, have
you tried a code search?

I can't get the remote to work at all on my CD player. I have tried the device code 0029 and have tried the search function and nothing seems to work.

Did you perform the search with the power button,
or with the play button?

Also, you might try searching BOTH the CD and AUX
categories, and maybe even others.

I have tried all of the above...I even called them and they could not help. I think I'll return it. Any suggestions?

Well, assuming you have the non-learning version
of the Cinema 7, I don't have much more to
suggest. I have an Audiovox shelf
stereo/surround sound decoder that is entirely
unsupported, but I found a device code that can
still control it via advanced codes. By default,
the device code is useless, because most buttons
do nothing, and the few that do don't match up
with their labeled function. For instance, the
power button adjusts stereo blance to the left.
I was able to correct all of this, however, by
use of advanced codes.

It's an extremely long shot, but you might be
able to do a similar thing. Personally, however,
assuming you got the non-learning version (the
URC-7200), I'd recommend just returning it and
seeking out the learning version if you want to
be sure you can control the device in question.

I took it back and bought a Yamaha R-V1105 receiver. Man that's an expensive remote...oh well it sounds great and works with everything.

I tried my Cinema 7 (7800) out on a SL-MC7 Technics CD Changer... I could not find a valid code either. Neither the 0029 code in the manuals, nor a full search trued up any viable Device Codes.

Unless someone else find something out, it looks like this one gets chalked up AGAINST the Cinema 7. It is the first device I have been unable to control with this remote. :(

AUX Code 0518 will power it on and off, but that's all I can get it to do. Unfortunately my Technics rceiver also goes on and off with this code (RCVR is set to 0308).

If that is the case, then there is a very good chance that the rest of the functions can be found by doing a manual search of the advanced codes under either device code.

But, be aware, that some manufacturers mix up device codes on the one remote, so it is possible that the rest of the functions come from another device code.

I have been able to operate most functions of my Technics SL-MC7 using device code 0303. I'm using the Home Producer 8 rather than the Cinema 7, so I don't know if this code will work for you.

Does anyone have advanced codes for this device code? I'm going to try to map them myself.

I have had no better luck than anyone else in this thread. I have been unable it to get the SL-MC7 to
respond to anything. I am going to try the code
0303 that Meg mentioned and 0518 that Dave pointed
out.

However, since this is an older thread, has anyone
learned any more about this unit?

Don't waste your time, if there is a code for the SL-MC7 it isn't in my files.

The code you are looking for is Panasonic device 160.10

RCVR/0518 = Panasonic 160.28
AMP/0308 = Panasonic 160
CD/0309 = Panasonic 160.04
CD/0367 = Panasonic 160.194

Hi Rob,

I tried the 0518 code and it did indeed turn the unit on and off. But
that is all it would do! I then tried the 0303 and apparently this
one is not in my Cinema 7 as the unit would not confirm it when entered.

Is it possible to return these units to the factory and have the code
data base updated to add the 0303?

Could you explain what your last response was telling me? I do not
understand what Panasonic Device 160.10 means nor the other list of
things that you provided. I am just getting started at this and
do not understand the terms.

Thanks for your help.
