Will any port on the back of Nevo Connect able to accept 12V trigger as a sensor?
I'm thinking of building some sensor but will trigger a 12Volts by a relay when it receive a signal?

Hi,

Yes but you MUST use to Nevo sensor. What you build on the other side of that is up to you but connected to the NC-50 MUST be the Nevo module.

Thank you for the response. Yes, it seem like it that way.
The Nevo Voltage sensor will send some sort of Code back to the Connect if it sense voltage using the Nevo Power Sync.
Is there any compatible to "Nevo Power Sync" that will be able to "talk" to Nevo Connect?

Hi,

Anything with a 5-24v? (Check instruction manual) output that can be triggered ON/OFF will work with the Nevo Voltage sensor.

So an Amp for example that has a trigger output will work.

Also the entire range of Xantech sensors will work using the CBCSM1. Check for other postings for more detail..

Hope this helps.

Hi,

As per the above post.

You MUST use the Nevo Sensor. Nothing else will work. You run the risk of permanently damaging the NC-50. Is it really worth the hassle? Just purchase the Nevo sensor, it's not like it is expensive!

Thank you for your kind and prompt responses. I now know that nothing else will work.
Yes, it's expensive. The cost for Nevo sensor is almost twice the price of those other brand sensor (eg Xantech) that i can get over at smarthome website, etc...
Unless someone is kind enough to PM me or sell me the sensor cost below MSRP, need to get 3 or 4pcs.

Ditto. Is there a good source for the Nevo accessories? It'd be nice to be able to just quickly get these as we need them.

Hi,

I think you should double check you pricing.

I priced the Xantech kit at approx $120 usd. on the smarthome site. Don't forget that 2 parts are required.

The Nevo sensor should be around $70? usd.

I am in Australia so I’m not 100% on the pricing so don't quote me on this.

Why on earth do i need a Xantech kit while you yourself said it won't work with Nevo (without Nevo Connect)? I know that too.

If you going to calculate that way, same goes with Nevo, I still need the "Nevo Connect" to work with "Nevo sensor".
How much is Connect, $299? Add $70 for sensor.... total?

That's alright then "D", someone send me an email for a link to get below MSRP Nevo Sensors.
If anyone got any other link or an installer who had spares and willing to sell, please PM or email me.

Dude,

I’m not saying you need a Xantech sensor. I was just pointing out the price difference.

Your on your own from here. Nothing more from me!.

The Nevo Voltage Sensor is fairly inexpensive - about $70 retail in Canada and the US.
This device accepts a 5V to 24V DC signal from any type of trigger.
ie 12V Out on a Theatre Receiver or use it combination with some Xantech units to achieve different types of triggers ie LED/Light Sensor, Current Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Contact Close Signal.

Droo,

Could you elaborate a little on how you'd use the voltage sensor with the Xantech sensors? I'm new at this, so if you could explain the actual connection I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Droo,

If you do a forum search for Xantech in the last 3 months within the Nevo forum you will find what you are looking for.

[Link: remotecentral.com]

If not let me know and I can supply a complete instructional on how to make it work.
