Twonky 4.4 beta 5 is working with Nevo SL

I did see the same problems with the 9800i philips remote. And the solution for the philips remote also works for the Nevo SL.

In twonky you can specify the device type for each connected device. Normaly this is auto detected. Go to 'Client/Security' by base configuration.
There you see the connected devices.
Add the Neve SL ip adres and set the device type. There is no device type for the Neve SL but i used the Philips SLA 5500 and that works for me. Mybe there is a better device to sellect but i have not tested them all.
I have tested this with the window version, not any version for NAS devices.

I did with the suggested above comment about the philips sla5500. you would have to set a static ip on your nevo to be able to set this in twonky. Nevo was a pain to set to static ip it wouldent save all the dns so i was gettting 255.255.255. instead of 255.255.255.0 but the way i got it to work as i remember was to put in the information and reset the nevo then it seemed to save it for some reason. then in twonky select the device type as phillips sla5500 and then enter the ip address you chose for the nevo. and then like always set up the media zones in nevo studio.

It works ok with the sonos, but good enough for me. You dont get all the features as if you were playing it straight in to the the nevo player app, its missing the ability to scrub through a track. You do get skip forward and skip back a track if you are playing an album. I havent as yet got my itunes playlists to be recognised in twonky but i think they may have removed the itunes intergration in twonky for now, but its easy enough to find all your tacks via the artist index where you choose a letter the all the artists that start with that letter are displayed. The main down side for me is the nevo's inability to maintain its WIFI connection so if im lucky i might get two tracks out of it then the music stops at the end of the second track. I have to go over to the nevo and wake it up, even though its on the cradle and is set not loose its wifi connection and then start it playing again.

Wow, somebody else has a NevoSL, that wasn't the case last time I visited this site.

You must see this link, totally pertaining to your (our) problem. I have been working for nearly a year to sort this out, so much that I created the web page. I have been trying to direct the manufactures there to see if this problem could be sorted.

The problem is that 3 different manufactures are involved. I have been trying to get them to talk to each other about this problem through the web page. Check out the page, make comments here, and lets use our numbers to twist some manufactures arms. Helios Labs is very open minded regarding this problem. WE MUST GET TWONKYVISION TO LISTEN! I will be back soon, with my sleeves rolled up.

Lee - Did you upgrade your NevoSL to Firmware Ver. 2.0.2? It solves your problem.

I am experience the same fault but in another setup:
Nevo SL
Escient Frieball SE160i and SE500i
Mp3 works fine but not FLAC!
How come mp3 works and not FLAC, I'm only using the Nevo SL and not Nevo Server/player.
