Why not leave your power commands off your "device" buttons and create an all off and all on buttons?

After reading the post, "Can Nevo do 2-way" and looking at Crestron's "NEVO", all the buttons on it are programmable so NEVO should, in theory, be able do it with software updates ? We'll have to wait and see.
I'd really like the video streaming on my NEVO, too !

no offense but i really dont see wtf you are all on about?! first off how do you "accidentally" hit the home button when it is on the side of the remote??

secondly why would you include the powering of devices on and off in your activity macro's?(it seems to just complicate things) i have it set up like so on my home page- well sh*t, go look in the files section and see for yourself! haha. simply put, i have a "power on" and "power off" macro which powers on my TV and Amp as they are used in every activity. then all my other activity macro's change to the appropriate inputs and finally jump to the main page of whatever device i am using where TADA you find a power button for that device.

not so simply put i actually also have the power buttons of my main devices programmed to the hard keys below the TS on the home page so i can power on said device before firing the activity macro so i dont have to wait for it to power up once i get there.

want to watch a dvd? power on the dvd player then hit the "watch DVD" macro. finished watching and want to watch tv? hit the home page button on the side, power off the DVD, power ON the HD Cable box and hit the "watch TV" macro.

my wife has NEVER had one single problem using this remote. (mind you she FINALLY figured out my last device style remote not long before i got this one, so she has some experience.)

No offense, but that seems like a long way round when you can just use one button to do all the powering on and off and input selecting etc.

I thought that was the whole idea of a programmable remote, so it makes each activity easier to start ?

BTW did you know you can resize text in labels so you can see it all - what is the difference between Ski... and Ski... ?

No thanks, although I do concede that programming it yourself is not for everyone. Personally, I enjoy it. It never hurts to save a few hundred bucks doing something you enjoy either!

dude, its 2 button presses instead of one and it eliminates having to worry about the "states" of your devices.... seems like a no brainer to me. but hey, to each their own.

OF COURSE i know that... what are you on about man? i dont think i have anything labeled SKI... do i?

I downloaded your file and a lot of your labels were like that, too big for the area they were in.

ok, but to reduce them i would either make the label too small to read or have to use a larger button taking up more real estate. btw i still DK what you are on about, most of my labels are short form words if they dont fit but the WHOLE short form word is there... none of my labels are cut off.

If the text doesn't fit, you could alway edit a button in Photoshop (or the like) and re-size the text to fit the button.
