I currently have a Pronto 2000 and want another device for the house. I don't use nearly all the abilities of the 2000 (or newer 3000 and above), so spending that kind of money on one isn't really worth it.
What are the big differences in the Neo (TSU500, right) and the earlier Prontos? What will I be giving up? How is programming compared to the earliers Prontos?
On Ebay I see some Neos that are factory refurbs. Is this a bad idea?
And now in looking on the Philips online store, I see that the Neo is discontinued. What to do, what to do......
Thanks in advance for your help!

The one thing you will notice is the smaller screen size. You can't really fit much more than a number keypad on the screen without making things really small. So you basically have to use more pages than you may like. That said, the programming is pretty much the same and it can do pretty much all of the basics you'll need. It is a good universal remote with plenty of customization capability...especially considering how cheaply you can pick them up. Some people have had problems with the hard buttons after a while but at some of the ebay prices they are nearly disposable.
