I taught the remote buttons for my yamaha receiver. they work fine, except when part of a macro. I tried, delaying, changing order, etc.

I also d/l the upgrade but it says the upgrade is for firmware 1.5.3 and that the current firmware on the neo is 1.5.3.1 . Do i upgrade anyway?

I would really like to know the answer to this part. I know the firmware update is to correct problems with learning (which I have). I had the exact same question, as my firmware loaded seems like it's newer than the one which can be downloaded.

are you setting up the macro correctly? Macros can only use "link to" commands. Check the FAQ in my signature to clarify.
