Hi to all who have waited for this as long as myself ...

I am just going to upload discrete codes for the Dreambox DM 7000S from Dream Multimedia for the ProntoNeo. This was a lot of hard work, because I had to convert the codes manually from a post from jarmstrong in october 2004 for the Pronto.

The codes base on new functions which came with the ir keyboard for the Dreambox.
So you also have to make some changes to the XML-Files containing the ir-configuration on the Dreambox itself. I uploaded this file two for replacing it on your Dreambox.

The main problem converting codes from the pronto to pronto neo is, that the neo uses references for the duration the ir-LED is on or of instead of saving the durations as often as they appear (like the pronto did).
Example:
For the pronto a code part could look like this: 1d 22 1d 32 1d
The ir-LED ist set on for a time value of 1d, then off for a time value of 22, then set on ...
The neo code has a reference table where 1d 22 32 is stored on position 0, 1 and 2. Then the same code part looks like this: 0 1 0 2 0

This wouldn't be very bad, because a lot of memory could be saved using references. But: Only 10 references can be stored in the preamble of the code. And some Dreamboxcodes need more than there 10 different timings. So I had to replace these timings with the nearest possible ones. Doing this in the repeat sequence seems to be o.k. for the Dreambox.

That is great! But I can't seem to locate the file. Where did you upload it?

Best regards, Stefan.

If it is not in the files area that probably means that Daniel hasn't posted it yet. Uploads don't automatically go into the files area, they must be approved and posted by the site owner (Daniel).

ralflaender: Could you please mail me this files? I haven't been able to get the Dreambox to work with discrete coeds yet. A discrete on and off should really be nice!
