Thanks to jarmstrong, johnsfine and the Robman, I have been able to learn several Denon 3803 discrete codes that we haven't had before. I plan to upload them to Daniel sometime this weekend...

A list of the discrete codes: Wide Screen, Super Stadium, Rock Arena, Jazz Club, Classic Concert, Mono Movie, Matrix, DTS Neo:6 Cinema, DTS Neo:6 Music, Dolby PLII Cinema, Dolby PLII Music, Dolby PLII Emulation, DTS ES Matrix, Dolby Digital EX, jump to volume -40 and jump to volume -20.

There are a few other codes floating out there but these seemed to be the main ones. I don't know if they will work for the xx02 series or earlier. I do think they probably would work for the 5803 though (there are a few THX codes for what I assume to be the 5803. But I didn't learn those.)

Here is the thread that started this process. [Link: remotecentral.com]

Hope this helps someone...

Could you upload those codes or explain to an MX-700 newbie how to create them? The Pronto area doesn't even have the 3803 discrete codes.

I sent the codes to Daniel on the 24th but sometimes he's busy and posts them when he gets time. It appears he hasn't got around to it...

I have an MX-700 and if I get the chance in a couple of days or so, I'll teach them from my 500 to my 700 and then have the MXD file available.

Ok...I've taught the codes to my MX-700 and tested them and they work fine with my 3803. I'll upload them to Daniel sometime this weekend.

Zathrus: E-mail me your e-mail address and I will send the file to you directly. It will come as an .mxd file and all you need to do is import it into your existing setup as a new device. (Of course, since it's not your main Denon receiver control device, you'll probably want to hide it.)

tstripko: Which file do you want? The 500 or 700? I don't think they will work on anything older than the xx03 series but it wouldn't hurt to try, right?

I have a 3803 and I also found the same PDF file with the IR codes on the Denon web site. Is the 3803 mxd file for the 700 available somewhere?

Duane: I sent it in to Daniel a week or so ago but he only updates the files when he has the chance. So it's not there yet.

If you e-mail me, I can send the .mxd that I created to you. It contains the codes I outlined above in the 1st post to this thread (which is not everything listed at the Denon site.) I only picked the codes that I thought most of us would want/use that we'd never had before. (I didn't mess with any of the Zone 2 stuff or any of the codes we already had. Plus, I didn't learn any of the Tuner codes since the basic up/down etc. have always been enough for me.)
