Correct, the boot up is long but what is even longer is the time before you can power it back down; the 64 seconds is pretty legit (I counted in my head).
I would definately not recommend this unit in a system with a remote that is not on RF, otherwise your customer would have to be certain to have the remote pointed at the unit or ir sensor while waiting to shut the system down.
So what I'm doing (with an RF enabled remote) is the ALL OFF macro starts with DVD PLAY, then I continue to shut other devices off as usual with my usual .5 delays and then at the end I make up the difference to total the macro at 64 seconds and then issue DVD POWER.
