Dino,

I am getting the 6500KB +/- size that I had prioir to the update that was rolled back. With the rolled back update I was only getting 1500KB +/- .

Please note this is the file size that is reported after downloading to the remote.

Ok, I'm talking about the .rcc file on my PC.

My .rcc file is back to the 6500KB size as well, I would be interested to know why yours was still saving at the smaller size.

Yeah, that's weird. I just downloaded to my MX-3000, and the file size remains small and the page transitions are back to normal. The great thing is that downloads only take like 5 seconds now, instead of the 30 seconds it used to take.

Another thing I noticed, but not sure if this due to the update or not (I just got a replacement MX-3000, so maybe that's the reason for this). On the "system" brightness screen, you can now adjust contrast as well as brightness.

Must be the new remote, mine is still the same regarding the contrast adjustment.

What was your file size before the rolled back update?

I wish mine was the smaller size because I agree the fast downloads would be much welcomed. Surely there is an explination somewhere.

Are you running Triple B's software by any chance? Maybe that would make a difference, although I doubt it.

I'm not running Triple B's software, but my template uses all png graphics. I use GuiWerx's Inspire template.

My files size used to be around 3,700 KB or so.

I am running Inspire as well so I would say our setups are fairly similar other than the DMX-3000 software. Still very strange...

Why not make a test version of your configuration and remove the 3B software portion (not sure how difficult that is or not). Maybe that will give us a clue.

Just applied the new update and my file size remained the same....small...and my page transitions seem to work as smooth as it did before the problems occurred.

Here is what I have figured out so far:

When the update came out that caused the slow transitions I saved my configuration that created the smaller than normal file size.

In order to get rid of the slow transitions while URC was working on a fix I rolled back the version of the editor I had. When I did this I made a copy of the smaller file.

When I saved my file in the rolled back version it went back to the file size I was used to seeing.

With the recent update I saved the file I had been using (larger size) and the file size stayed the same.

So then I went back to the copy I made of the small file and downloaded it to the remote using the updated editor (ver. 148) and bang, same small size but the page transitions were back to normal. So someone who is more knowledgeable than I would have to explain that one.

Sorry if the account is confusing, I think I am starting to get dizzy myself.

Steve, that is weird. Even more so since I did everything you did as far as going back to an earlier version which made my file size large again. I then loaded that larger file into the latest editor and saved it. Back to the small file size and fast transitions.

So who knows?

So it's now safe to update the MX software for both 850 & 3000?

I can't speak to the 850 but the 3000 software, so far, seems to be functioning properly.
