im testing out the MRF-250 and i notice that the status light blinks for a few seconds when i first press a button. but any button after that the status light doesnt blink at all. i want to figure this out before i start placing the emitters.

one more thing, does anyone know how i can get the codes for my new
Yamaha RX-V861?

The codes are in the database, you may need to run a Live Update.

HI, you might want to change the MRF-250 ID adress to any other one than 0.

The reason for blinking can be some RFI if on RF ID 0.

Make sure that in your MX-3000 program your remote sends it commands in RF only.

I hope this info help you out.

thanks, ill try a differant id address. i cant do a live update because im not an installer. *****heres another question, because i had to use codes for another Yamaha product, would that effect the MRF? the regular IR codes work fine from the remote***********

No it wouldn't. If the codesets work in IR, they'll work with RF, provided the RF works correctly.

You also may want to contact your dealer, they should be able to give you live update software.

just called magnolia/best buy. they want 50 bucks just to put in the new codes. what crappy support for a thousand dollar remote.

ok, sorry to be hogging this forum, but i have another issue. the rf works fine on with my mx3000 but only on my main page and my dvd controls. but audio and cable wont work. i can turn the volume up from my main page but when i get to tv or dvd the volume button doent work. when i switch back to IR it all works fine. any suggestions?

forget it, i got it working. though, still unable to get the new reciever codes. i got a new application sent to me but i cant open it. i also tried to download the software again from URC;s website. there are some updated codes but not for the rx-v861. i will look on the web to see what i need to open complete control suite.
