Anyone have an error message such as "Currupt Configuration"? My remote has been dropped a couple of times and the time of day was changed sometimes it was dropped, and I just corrected the time via the remote, or connected it to my PC and performed an update and all was fine. Well today, the remote was acting funny and when put back in the craddle, would not make the usual beep to indicate it was charging. Then it started to show the "Currupt Configuration" and no matter what I do, I cannot seem to correct it. I have attempted to update the software at least 5 times with no positive results.

Anyone have any ideas???

Try this.
21. I need to update my remote's firmware in safe mode, how do I do it?

start the software on your computer
remove battery from remote
press and hold the off button
connect the remote to the USB cable
when remote is connected it should show "Safe Mode" in the LCD (power is provided by USB at this time)
release the off button
initiate a firmware update in the software
after successful firmware update, update the remote with your settings
disconnect the remote from the USB cable
reinsert the battery in the remote
wait for the remote to come up

Well, I tried what you said and the programing made it to 53% then stopped. I attempted the reboot again and watched the display on the remote, and when the % of completion on the PC screen indicated it was at 39% successful, the remote screen blacked out and popped up with the message, "Upgrade Successful", then 'Testing", then finally, "Go to website to update settings", and the % of completion stopped at 53%.

Any ideas as to why, and how to fix???

If your remote says something along the lines of "Corrupt Configuration" and you cannot update firmware as suggested then it's possible that the remote is dead. Contact Harmony support for further assistance or a possible warranty replacement.
