The Panasonic BD35 is in the Harmony database, but when I program my One, it only controls the most basic commands (play, forward, reverse). All other commands do not work and the on/off is not discrete (the "Power off" button turns on and off). I understand that I can learn the rest of the commands into the remote, but how can I get discrete on/off. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

It surprises me that more of the BD35 commands are not there - such as Top Menu, etc. Beyond learning, what would be the right way to get Logitech to populate their DB? (I'm within the 60 days purchase on my new H1 (as well as my new BD35 and new Sony STR-DG920 receiver).

JohnnyO, I just want to check; do you have discrete on/ff with your BD35?

I do not have discrete on/off.

[It is one of the reasons I have removed all power on/off commands from my Harmony "Activities.." Too often we are watching a DVD/BD, and want to quickly pause it and take a look at the weather (for example) on TiVo, then switch back...]

The easy way around that problem of turning off devices when changing Activities is the set up the Device Level Power functions To: I want to turn off this device when it's not in use. and change the Power setting for the Activities To: I want to leave unused devices on. This way when you change Activities the devices that are on in the first Activity and not need in the next Activity will remain on. So you can go back to the first Activity without any problem. When you press the Oft button all devices will turn off except those devices set in the Device level to remain on.

That must be what I did, since it is behaving as you suggest (and as I was hoping)!

Thanks,

I checked, and the dataset list the discrete PowerOn and PowerOff commands. However, their behaviour should be checked in device mode.

The discrete PowerOne and PowerOff commands (which are assigned to the touch area on my H1) do function as suggested. Now to figure out how to put them on the activity sequence instead of the PowerToggle function.

The device power and input configurations are done through the device (not the activity) configuration. Under Device > Settings > Adjust power settings..., select the discrete option "A button on the remote for On, and a different button for Off", then the appropriate PowerOn & PowerOff commands from the command drop-down list.
