I have the Harmony 890. On the Box it showed the remote could change rooms, or have a different screen of activities for using in different rooms, such as a screen for living room, screen for bedroom, ect.
Harmony support says this is not possible. Did I just get someone who does not know what they are doing, or is what is shown on the box not correct?

I speculated earlier that it may only do that if you have multiple base stations (in different rooms). Just a guess.

For those who read this and are wondering, I did not know there was an 890 PRO, I guess only the PRO model is able to change rooms. I havn't been able to find it on the internet yet. Oh well, I'll live.

Correct, The "Pro" (their word, NOT mine) has the multiroom software, it's not available on the regular 890.

Do you need a Pro to program the Pro for you, or are these extra fuctions also available on the Logitech website?

The 890-PRO model is programmed much the same as other Harmony remotes thru the website. The biggest difference is the ability to have “rooms” and a Picture and Sound mode buttons.
It is more expensive as the 890-pro extender is not supplied with the remote and must be purchased separately.
It is only (legally) sold thru system integrators. Unless you really need the rooms feature or the sound and picture buttons I’d stick with the non-pro versions.
