I used a Walmart add for $119 and Circuit City price-matched it (didn't beat it by 10% though .. but I didn't realize that until I got home). Assuming I get the $50 rebate back I'm pretty happy with the remote (676) at that price.

Yeah, a lot of the stores that give 110% PM will only do it if you remind them. I feel that it is either the Policy or it isn't. If it is, why do we have to keep asking for it?

I PM'd to NewEgg at Staples and got the 676 for $51.45 after rebate and $20 coupon. Just got it set up tonight and works great! Still have to tweak for the multiple TiVo's and AV reciever inputs, but pretty uneventful so far.

I bought 2 676's. One new from Amazon for a total 0f $124 (no shipping cost and 50 rebate = 74). Another used from Amazon 109 + 5 shipping - $50 rebate =64.

For all of you with the 676, I was wondering what buttons you use to mimick the left, right, up, down buttons that most receivers and DVR players have... the ones that look like... <- -> and that usually surround the OK or MENU button.

I see them on the 659 (see this link to see what I mean...)

but don't see them on the 676 (or 680 or 688 for that matter).

I use those left right up down buttons ALL THE TIME when watching and editing things on my DVR and would really like to have them easily accessible. I am almost completely sold on the 676 but it seems to be lacking those buttons.. how do you access them?

Thanks in advance!

The little ring around the OK button functions as a directional pad

Ahhhhh... OK I see now. It's tough to see that from the pictures but that makes sense.
Looks like this remote is laid out perfectly afterall..

Thanks.

I just got done programming my new 676 and all I can say is.. AMAZING. You were all right about this thing.

The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the DirectionRight on the direction pad. It doesn't work for my DVR, TV, Receiver... anything.. the up,down and left all work fine for evething.

I have even tried to have the remote LEARN it from my other remotes... to no avail. Any other ideas on what might be wrong? If not, it looks like a bum direction pad so it looks liike my unit will have to be returned and replaced. Just when I'm starting to love it!

Thanks,

Try programming a command that you know works on the DirectionRight button. If it still doesn't work it's a hardware problem.

Tried that and it didn't work. It's gotta be the hardware..

Thanks,
