Thanks to all who provided me with the $50 rebate form! This will be my first multi-purpose remote, and I was wondering which Harmony remote to purchase? I think I've got it narrowed down to the 676 sport vs the new color screen 880.

The one thing I've read is that the 880 can handle changing the HDTV's aspect ratio. Does the 676 also do this, but I can't find it??

Thanks for all your help and advise with this purchase! Any ideas on the best place (price of course) to buy these remotes??

I have used hideflifstyles for several 880 purchases. They are very quick on the delivery, and if you use the rebat code rm880, you will get 30% off the the 250.00 list price. You can't go wrong with either remote. My personal preferance, from owning both is definetly the 880. But i also like to have my house on the high tech side. Even down to my sensor controlled faucets in the bathroom.

If a remote can control the aspect ratio, then either unit will do it. It really comes down to which one feels better to you and if you are willing to pay extra for a color LCD screen.

I prefer the 880; I got a 659 for Christmas, and exchanged it (and some bucks and a BB gift card) for the 880, mostly for the button layout (TiVo user).

The new remote replaced a Sony RM-AV3100; I liked the 880 so much, even with the website hassles the day after Christmas, that I decided to get the wife one.

Based on a recommendation in this forum, I bought my second 880 from hideflifestyle. I got the 30% discount on checkout. I ordered Sunday; it shipped Monday, and I received the remote Tuesday afternoon!

It's difficult to beat service like that. The remote is a current model -- no problems with the charging base. No, I don't work for hideflifestyle, and haven't ordered from them before; I'm just posting to ease any "new web supplier" worries for others who might question such a good deal...

The rebate is at [Link: logitech.com]

The only difference between the 6xx models is button layout. The 880 is rechargable and has a color screen, but I don't think that it will do anything the others won't. It seems a bit short on "hard" (dedicated) buttons, but has more "soft" (LCD) buttons.

Actually the 880 and 520 (and clones) are missing the TV listings feature and the sound and picture buttons. The 880 also adds a tilt sensor that turns on the light when it's picked up and you can put your own pictures on the channel listings.

When the 880 is only $100, you can't go wrong with it.

Where can you get it for $100? Cheapest I've seen is $130 after discounts and rebate.

From Dell

$249.00 minus 35% off coupon
brings total to $161.85, minus a $20 of A&E coupon,
brings total to $141.85 after coupon. Add 6% MI tax, (free shipping)
brings total to $150.36 before $50 MIR
Total after rebate is $100.36.

Ordered it from Dell this morning at 8 am (when the 35% off coupon went into effect) and it was shipped by 2:00 this afternoon.

Can't beat that.

Can you expand on the A&E coupon? Do you know if the 35% off coupon is still in effect? Where can I get the $50 rebate form and what models will it affect? Thanks

Looks like some of the rebate / discount deals mentioned below are gone :-( Anyone have any suggestions to get an 880 in the low $100's?

Dell.com has the 676 for 139.00 - the 50.00 rebate. Anyone know of any coupons or discounts that are current for dell?

I got my 676 with a Bestbuy PM to Walmart. It became $66 off the BB price so I pay $54 after rebate. I just printed the WalMart ad and brought it to BB. Don't forget to be sure they give you the 110% PM.

Thank you very much, I'm going to do just that.
