I removed the batteries and tried putting a new set in them .. now i get this constant LED light and I can't make it go away. I cannot do anything with the remote at all, connect it, use it or anything.

Any help would be appreciated!

The remote needs to be reset. Had the same thing happen to me, but was unable to reset mine. Here are the two different methods to try that Harmony Support walked me through.

Method 1:
Remove a single battery, hold down the forward, play, and rewind buttons, and re-insert the battery. You need to hold the keys for about 30 seconds. If the reset is successful, you should have a remote with a blinking light at the top. Once your in this state you need to reload the lastest firmware from the web site.

Method 2:
If the 3 button reset doesn't work, you can try the 1 button reset. Same steps, only you hold down the side button below the scroll wheel for about 10-20 seconds. If successful the results will be the same as they would for the other reset. Firmware reload is still necessary.

Please let me know if this helped.

Thank you for your input.

I tried both methods and still nothing. I find it hard to do the 3 button reset while trying to reinsert the battery but I did try both methods several times.

Any other ideas?

If the reset didn't work, then you'll have to RMA the unit. Harmony is very good about this if you are under warranty. Basically, they issue you an RMA # and then have you order a replacement remote from their site. When the new one arrives you send the old one back to avoid getting charged for it.

I already called them and they did exactly what you said. Thanks again for the help that you offered! :)

You were right, Customer service seems to be a priority with this company. Something I think that is very important! :)

Merry Christmas!
