Hi guys I am glad I found this site!! I have the same problem everyone else has had at one time, to many remotes. I would like to hear from a few people as to maybe a easy remote so my wife can use it, tough so that the grandkids will not break it, but good enough so I can program all my stuff (seven different boxes) I have looked and read about the Harmony line but with all the different models I am lost. Can I hear from some of you guys as to what to look out for and what to get. I want something that can program some unknown brand stuff. Thanks for the help

Hello John(?) and welcome to the mad world that is RC.

Well, actually it's this forum that's the mad one; anything goes (within reason) apart from talk about remote controls. You might get a better response if you post your question in the Home Theater Forum. Also take a look at the reviews, there's loads of information contained therein.

I can't stand that word, NEWBIE, I wouldn't call myself that even if I were one.

"oldbie", "averagebie", "experiencedbie" doesn't sound all that great , either!
I thought it was just my lack of a ponytail that made me feel this way! Plus, I am in my early forty's!

To camarojohn, get an MX-700 or 850!
It fills all of your requirements, and then some!!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

The word newbie comes from english horse stables it means new boy, the UK likes to take short cuts also, take the o from the 2 words and you have newb(o)y. In movie "Silver Dream Racer" David Essex friend Cider says it's a '1 off' (one of a kind) fiberglass lightweight frame that wins the Silverstone 500. I have the R2 DVD of this great motorcycle racing movie in wide screen and Dolby Surround with Christina Raines as the love interest, me too. :)

Could they not just use capital o's?

Grovvy... Now that your explained it's origin... It seems even less of a word for some reason?

Perhaps they should remove a word from the dictionary for every two they add.

Welcome to the other side CJ.
