The word newbie comes from english horse stables it means new boy, the UK likes to take short cuts also, take the o from the 2 words and you have newb(o)y. In movie "Silver Dream Racer" David Essex friend Cider says it's a '1 off' (one of a kind) fiberglass lightweight frame that wins the Silverstone 500.
