Hey, Katie! Welcome back!

We do like to have some fun on this site, especially in the Intermission forum.

We do get serious in the other forums though. After all, the whole idea of the site is helping other people!

Unfortunately I've hit a wall regarding my healing... as long as I say stock still and don't move around I'm fine, anything else and >.<

(Which makes my decision to take a year contract job that has two hours of travel by train a day look like a *really* smart idea Oh well, end of July is soon enough and I can hobble back to my old job with my tail between my legs :()

Sleeping is a real *pleasure* now, either Tylenol Extra Strength, alcohol or the muscle relaxants otherwise I get maybe three hours of *good* sleep tops (I'm constantly rotating what I take before I go to sleep, the muscle relaxants esp. are hard on your stomach according to the doctor but they give me the best sleep of all my options -sigh-)

Still pursuing the radio... or going with the flow?

Some interesting news.

Barry Fox, in the April edition of Hi-Fi News, informs us that Goodmans are soon to be launching a budget range of DAB radios (prices starting at £99.00). Unfortunately he then goes on to tell us that good old Auntie Beeb has cut the data rates for it's digital radio broadcasts.

Radios 1 and 2 are down from 192kbps discrete stereo to 128kbps joint stereo; Radio 4 is now 128kbps joint until 8pm and then goes down to 80kbps mono. Only Radio 3 (for now) remains untouched.

Just thought you might like to know.
