For the last couple of months i have been dealing with a flash error that crashes internet explorer and closes all of my open windows. I have googled until i cant google anymore trying to fix and today when it happened i decided to solve the problem once in for all.

I loved IE and we have a long history :) but i cant handle the separation anxiety every time the windows go away. Bye for now IE.

Everyone say hello to my new best friend Firefox... It has spell check so watch out grammar police!

I'd blame Adobe more than IE!

I do blame Adobe. I prefer IE over any other browser and i wish i could fix the issue. But when you have 10 windows open that your working in.. or you found a site that you were going to look at later... and POOF... all gone... You have to make the hard decisions :).

The last few time I've found myself having to reload Windows I found my BT badged versions of IE runs okay, but not the plain Microsoft version.

Horses for courses, I don't care because I prefer Firefox.

Yes. I also tried their uninstall tool and Flash10a and a couple of other forum found longshots. None of the error log google searches are turning up anything solid.

Seems to be a common problem for some folks.

I switched to Google Chrome and haven't looked back. I think it is great.

Chrome is a nice, no-frills browser with some great speed. It's also a pretty safe one to use at the moment, since it IS no-frills and also isn't very popular.

I like Chrome but roboform is not supported (as far as i know). Roboform has changed the way i surf the internet as much as TIVO changed the way i watch TV. I have a couple hundred login's saved and all i need is to enter the password to roboform each time i restart my computer.

Odd. I have a friend that raves about Roboform but I've never bothered to try it.

The key feature for me is that you have 1 password for roboform that allows you to access any protected websites. Every time you restart your computer your asked to enter roboforms password the first time you try to use it and the rest of the day you can loginto any account without entering user name and password.

remotecentral/hotmail/gmail/amazon/ebay/paypal/facebook whatever. Anything that requires a user name and password can be stored. Not just that.. it saves the login page so if i want to go to ebay i just click "logins" from the roboform toolbar then select ebay. A browser window opens and goes to the ebay login page, the user name and password are entered automatically and the submit button is pressed automatically.

In the screensot below you will see how i navigate to remotecentral everyday. Once i click the remotecentral already logged in because of roboforms 'automation'.

Some websites want first last name, address, phone number etc. You can create a form filler page with all of that info that will populate pages like that. So next time you want to sign up for an account at an online store you can fill out the info with 1 button click.

I dont have favorite links anymore. I use roboform to browse the web. There is one exception so far that i cant figure out a way around and thats my bank of america bank account. It will not allow roboform to work with it. Its probably a good thing though.
