Meatballs at the south pole . . . and that's another thing I'm reasonably good at.

Malibu 396 --- I'll bet you wish you still had that one?

My first car was a total P.O.S. 57 ford. Burned almost as much oil as gas!!! Handled like a truck --- not exactly what you would call a "chick magnet"! LOL

Mr. Stanley sold it and bought a 69 Cutlass Supreme Convertible!!! I wish I had either or better both. The only thing bad about the Mabilu was it was manual steering with that big hunk of iron sitting over the front end it was a bear!

It was fun.. I always thought Mardi Gras was just beads and boobs but i found out its beads boobs and beer :).

There were parades every day for 2 weeks. Had i been on vacation it might have been fun but driving from one end of the city to the other trying to get around the parade route twice a day wasnt any fun.

There are a bunch of "krewes" that all have their own parade. As you draw closer to fat tuesday the parades are more elaborate with larger floats and bigger crowds.

My girlfriend didnt make it for Valentines day but other than that the trip was fun. Im going back in a couple months to finish up. Ill be there for 4 weeks... this time no parades or traffic :).

Yeah my neighbor had one back then. Once you pointed it straight, and stepped on the gas (did it have stock Muncie or Hurst linkage?), it'd feel like you were on the space shuttle taking off!

Only had a 350 with and automatic. I changed the springs out and lowered it some but it got hit and bent the frame!

Still my all time favorite engine is the small block chevy!

Had a 39 ford coupe with a corvette 327... 3/4 race cam dual quads blue-printed and balanced --- still gives me goose bumps recalling the "exhaust report" on that thing!
After too many negligent driving and speeding tickets - sold it. Saddest day of my life!
That thing sounded so good... chugga, chugga, chugga (at the stop light)! 8>)

And enviromentally friendly! :) There is nothing like the sound of Amirecan big block (350 cid and up). There are so many idiots with those fart pak mufflers that they don't have a clue. Saw/heard a new Cobra and they had but those things on it - how sad.
