That is really true Britain’s most favourite dish is Chicken Tikka mossala! My family cook Italian, Mexican, Indian and Chinese food and I mean cook not re-heat ready meals. We eat out at many different types of restaurants, we have recently booked to eat at a local Russian Restaurant (yet to try Russian cuisine). It’s only at pub restaurants that ye olde fake English pub fare rears its ugly head. We do have typical Sunday roast dinners on err Sundays but our food choice is very eclectic. The amount of TV cooking programmes on TV while annoying has vastly improved peoples cooking skills and standards have vastly improved. Stereo-types are hard to break; I am a Brit who has all of my own white, straight teeth, who can cook to a reasonable standard! Manhattan was, when I was there a reasonably safe, clean city compared to where I live. Here Gun crime is on the increase(saw an armed robbery on Saturday in my local town and on the Friday a Off licence was held up just before my wife and I went in), kids are stabbed on a regular basis, old people are terrified in there own homes. I feel the world is the same all over it’s what the people make of it.
