I don't know - I was walking down Michigan Ave. with my girlfriend heading back from the Hancock center to the Palmer House in the snow this year... very romantic. :)

May, June, July, July, July, August, and August... Nothing like summer in Chicago... Come prepared for heat by day and warm summer nights. Endless miles of beach that may as well be oceanfront. The best bars, clubs and restaurants + shopping & the finest cultural institutions .... and the women... They like it here.

Right... Anytime of year is great if you know where to be and when.

In the summer months it's hard not to be in the right place...

It's not 100% legal, but we manage to have beach party bonfires. Every possible Saturday night.

I have two coolers that can swallow 96 bottles of beverage and 32 lbs ice each.

And a third BA cooler just for the meat...

Those are some damn heavy coolers.

You've goatta feed a few of the right people and to not get thrown off the beach. We try to stay until well after midnight before moving the works into somebody's flat nearby.

Some nice tunes. Volleyball and a good shovel..

Damn... Now you've got me wishing it were summer already!

I try to enjoy each season. (otherwise time fly's too fast)

We also have great woods and prairies within the city as well... Last Sunday I walked through some forest within the city.

Saw a couple deer about 15 yards away. In the summer there's anything you could find in the country PLUS jumbo rats!...

Ok.. ok... I love this town. You got me started!

I_______________

Huge flakes of snow covered me this morning as I made my way over to my favorite coffee house... Winter isn't really so bad here either... It's just a different feeling.

Andre,

Glad you enjoyed the US. It is a great place!
If it wasn't for the fact that we're tired of people blowing innocent people up in the name of Jihad, and are willing to do something about it, we might have a better image.
Thanks for stopping by.

Jay.

Enough of the summer talk! Winter might be romantic for a moment, but I'm ready for the beach!!!

Our 'lakes' are a few thousand acres smaller than yours, but the results are the same!

You make me want to visit!

The only part of Chicago I've seen was downtown. Impressive, but not my style!

I prefer.......

No shirt, no shoe's, no problem!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

Jay:

I have only been to Chicago a few times and except the one time when I went there for a weekend convention and got to enjoy and see a bit of the city the rest were in and out the same day for work. But it definitely looked like a nice city.

May, June, July, July, July, August, and August... Nothing like summer in Chicago

I think it is true for all us northerners. I would also guess it depends what the person wants to see. Like John said, snow haw its romantic side, the problem is that it is also easy to get tired of it.

I also think we enjoy our summers more then people with summer weather year round (not just my interpretations I have friends that recently moved here from across the world), because we concentrate it all into that small time frame. I don't about Chicago. But here there is a festival or two going all summer. We have the Jazz fest, beer fest, food fest, just for laughs that are each almost two weeks straight then we have the international fireworks competition two shows a week for a few months, the Grand prix that's for a weekend..... The Grand prix would be the weekend that I would not recommend (if you don't come specifically for that) just because prices go up and vacancy is 0 anywhere interesting.
