I have both Yamaha RXV800 and HTR-5280 receivers. When listening to a 5.1 soundtrack, I typically adjust the db level of the center and rear surround channels differently than when I listen to 5-channel stereo. I'm looking for discrete codes to select the center, and left and right rear surround speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yamaha is one manufacturer who is pretty good about supplying their codes. I would check out the following site. [Link: yamaha.com]Ron

Thanks Ron. I found the extended I/R codes for the RXV800 on the Yamaha website. However, I'm unsure how to use the extended I/R codes (custom code and data code) in my CCF file. Is a translation or conversation required to make it useful in my CCF file? Again, any help is greatly apprecaited.

I don't own any Yamaha products and have not played with their IR but it appears that custom code is the device code in hex and the data code is the function code in hex. So with any of the utilities like Make Hex, IR Tool, ProntoUtil you can then make the actual codes you'll need. Change the hex values to decimal first. For example Zone 2Mute On would be device 126 and function 160.
