Just tried all five of the codes you provided. None of them seem to work. Thank you for the help.

I also have this receiver and I am not having any luck. I have an MX-850 and tried all the code Pioneer supplied in this doc:
[Link: pioneerelectronics.com]

None of them work. I also tried learning from the original remove via my MX-850 and that also isn't working.

I also have a USBUIRT that I used to learn codes and the codes it learns match the codes in Pioneers but when I send these codes via the USBUIRT they don't work. I just don't get it. I have never had a problem like this.

These Pioneer codes are 'two part' codes, maybe your learning device is struggling to pick up the second part, thinking it has already correctly id'd the first part??
There are also 4 remote 'modes' with differing codes for each 'mode' for the same function.
when I figure out how to 'make' these 'two part' codes I will post them for you to try.
regards Mark

I noticed some of them are two part codes but not all of them are. Vol+ for example is a single code and even that isn't working. Or am I not understanding the problem correctly?

Thanks for your assistance!

I recently realized that the 520, 820. and 920 had a tighter IR "tolerance" than all other and previous models. Why that changed I can't say. The timing gap is different so I will be creating new codes for the PioneerCustom.com site for those models (and all others as they work them as well).
Tell me again what you need and I will post them here unless you want all 200 or so dicrete commands. If you want all you'll have to wait till I repost the file at PioneerCustom.

The main things I need are:
Power On
Power Off
DVD
DVR
iPod
Vol+
Vol-
Mute

This is my first Pioneer so I am not sure how to make a macro to do Power On then DVD. I notice that when I use the original remote I can't hit Power Toggle then DVD back to back. I have to wait for it to turn on before it will see the DVD command. Is there a direct DVD command that will automatically turn the receiver on if it is off? If so, those are the commands I would want. I noticed some commands in the XLS file named "Auto Function DVD" for example. I am guessing that is the command I need.

Thanks John for the help!

I finally finished the fixing all of the IR codes in the master list and sent them to joshmwiliams and ermax.
If anyone else needs them let me know.
I'll have them posted at PioneerCustom.com next week. Due to a server transition I can't post until then.

Hi Guys,

I am having the same problem now. I don't seem to be able to get the codes from learning and would appreciate it if someone can point me to the right direction. The 2010_AVR... from pioneer does not work either.

thnx
Chris

Try the hex codes list at pioneercustom.com
If the 820 codes don't work try the 821 codes.
What remote are you programming anyway?
