i guess the European codes are different from the US. I got the US ones, does anyone have the European ones?

So these VSX-820 IR & Hex Codes codes don't work?

The hex code you posted in post 1 for 'Input Video' is actually the 'Tuner' hex code in the above Excel file.

Is your code definitely for 'Input Video'?

What remote are you using?

That hex code is the same as the one I posted.


The only difference is the frequency (words in bold above). Yours is 40.224KHz and mine (Pioneers) is 39.857KHz. This small difference in frequency does not usually make a difference but seems to in your case.

Hey Guys,

I have a Pioneer VSX-820-K, the same as CharisKon, but the USA variant I believe.

I downloaded the Pioneer Excel sheet that JasonVP posted with all of the IR and Hex codes. After inputting all of the Hex codes into my IR Library Manager, I went to try them using my RTI T3-V/RP-6. None of them seem to be working at all. I even tried them in standalone mode to rule out any problems with the RP-6. Not a single one I have tried is working.

Any idea what could be going on? I haven't run into a problem getting at least a single command working with a new device before. I don't have the hardware to learn commands from the remote, otherwise I would try that next.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I tried both of them to no avail.

I have found some IR codes from other Pioneer VSX models in the Master IR library, like the VSX-09, but I cant find one for which the BD Input code works.

This one worked for me as well.. Still wish I could figure out why the Pioneer supplied ones won't work. I'd like to have control over all of the functions of the receiver, not just the subset I can find from other remotes in the library.
