for model# E3D420VX

Via app codes
Amazon EA (234)
Netflix EB (235)
Vudu EC (236)

These were actual picture keys on the original remote. They seem to be hard programed into the tv and the remote. I cant delete these 3 apps. Variants of the code for other installed apps dont work

Hi Jason, need discrete power on/off for Vizio models E551VL, E371VL and E321VL. The job site is 1000 miles away and I don't have anything here to test so I need to rely upon your expertise. Do u think these codes will work?

I don't know...probably. I don't have any experience with Vizio TVs. We don't have them in OZ. Your best to contact Vizio and ask them if the codes for those models are the same as Post 1.

Jason

Discrete on/off both worked on the 55", Discrete off worked on smaller sets, but, not discrete on. For those sets I used Standby for On.

Would it be possible for someone to make an MXD file of these discrete codes?

I know this is an old thread but I just want to thank you guys and everyone that takes the time to help figure this stuff out. Before I bought my vizio I checked on here to make sure it had descrete codes. Went and bought it, put the descrete codes in my wizz.it software, downloaded it to my Marantz rc9500 and we were in business!

So once again THANKS GUYs!
i have to program the remote again?!?!?!? .... www.scottnemiro.com

So close, but no cigar :) Brand new Vizio E500i-A1 and no luck with discrete inputs. All other codes seem to work after using makehex and remote master to create codes from previously posted E500i-A1 rmdu file. Bummer.

Still hunting for discrete input codes for E500i-A1, but the help here is worthy of a heartfelt thanks

Can anyone confirm what the various makehex (GUI) settings should be for getting proper results using the following rmdu input? I tried NEC1, 4 with no success on the discrete inputs below, but others worked fine.

Description=Vizio E500i-A1
Remote.name=RCA RCRP05B black
Remote.signature=31793179
DeviceType=TV
DeviceIndex=1
SetupCode=1758
Protocol=00 5A
Protocol.name=NEC1
ProtocolParms=4 null null
FixedData=00 DF DF
Function.45.name=HDMI 1
Function.45.hex=7E
Function.46.name=HDMI 2
Function.46.hex=BE
Function.47.name=HDMI 3
Function.47.hex=3E
Function.48.name=HDMI 4
Function.48.hex=DE
Function.49.name=AV 1
Function.49.hex=7A

I don't even know if there is a function for this but I'd like a discrete code for each of the smart TV apps. I know there is one for Amazon and Netflix but what about YouTube etc. Also I'd like it to send the user right into the app, not just the side menu. Any thoughts?

Howdy,

I recently purchased a Vizio M601D-A3. Jason's discrete IR codes (Post 6), work great, however, I'm missing a few... My remote has a "V" (Vizio Apps) button, as well as Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, and MGo buttons. Does anybody have Discrete IR Hex (Pronto) codes for these buttons?

Thanks in Advance.

Lowpro,

Thanks, that code works well... I'm a big Netflix and Amazon Instant video user and am still looking for the HEX codes for those two buttons...
