Ok. We've had a few threads filled with some bashing. How about a little recognition to those who deserve our support.
I had a rant about 3 weeks ago about a few companies. I feel compelled to give an update in the spirit of fairness.
Sonance. Let me say this. This company is awesome and should be commended for outstanding customer support. They are very eager to support the CI channel AND provide superior service. I've been working with them and they have been very candid about my situations. They really appear seem vert straight up WITHOUT BS. I recieved replacement product and more importantly truthful answers as to the nature of the problem. Over the past years of using them, they have been very quick to fix things as they arise, whether it be warranty issues, billing, whatever. They are a company worthy of support.
Planetwaves. OK, this ones still on going, but to be fair they have had a recall on their connectors and are issueing replacements. Time will tell if its a viable solution. Rob was quick to address the problems and issue their statement. It's a great concept that, currently, still needs some more evaluation before final judgement.
Yamaha - Never ranted on these guys but must pat their back. Decent products with a full array of discrete codes. I'm going to go out on a limb and say they have the most complete set of ir codes for any reciever out their.
It's funny how some lines seem to really support those of us who make our living providing reliable solutions for our customers and how other could really care less. We should all be a little more selective and support those who support us.

As consumer, I was impressed with the service B&K gave me when my AVP-4090 pre-pro crapped out. With me being far from the original owner, they took it in, repaired it, updated the firmware, completely tested it, and shipped it back to me.

TruAudio one of the biggest unsung hero's of the CI business. Those guys were one of us at one time and used their experience with bad product and bad support to build a great company with a great product.

I was not going to respond but............. I have been in this business since 1986. In that time only Lutron and Crestron have sent engineers to jobs where serious issues existed, sometimes due to their products and sometimes due to my erorrs or my failure to determine the cause of the problem(s). I am unable to recount all stories due to legal restictions but I can promise all that no better companies exist in this business ( obviously based upon my experience ) than either Lutron or Crestron. Not only do they make superior products, provide superior training, replace failed products immediately, but they have a level of back room support second to none. And when all else fails they will send out engineers to solve the problem. Their support has gone beyond fixing bugs in products that, probably ought not to have come to market in the form they did.
