Actually met w him earlier this month. Why do you say that?

It seems like a pretty decent line, and they have EXCELLENT demo programs, builder programs, etc.

Might be a decent system to use when Im not integrating with a whole house system, etc.
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

None of the docs I read said anything about controlling
the sources except that the KPs have an IR eye.
Are these KPs able to learn basic power, play,
change channel or track commands? Or is it basically
just on/off/volume/choose source and use a remote?

Anyone want to address this question?

The only one that does this is the Concerto line. The Simplese and the Esentia are just as you discribed. Most of the time that we have put in these 2, just the key pad has sufficed. Other wise we would use a Universal Remote w/RF capabilites to control track etc..

The thing I don't get with the "low cost" solutions is that you seem to have very little control. You are in the master b.r. and want to listen to CDs. You turn it on to source 1 but who runs to the other room to start the disc player? Oh, where's the remote so I can tell the player to start?

How DO you use something like this? Can you put someone else's DECENT keypad in a couple locations to really get the system going?? What am I missing here?

It sounds like the entry level for something that works is about $2000-3000 for 4 to 6 zones.

The Simplese sounded good at $1000 but may not do much.
