I'm with Brent on this one. Also, the Denon 4306 will upconvertcomponent to HDMI, so why not hook the cable box up component? We do this all the time without incident.

To prewire for HDMI, and all the other buggy things that you will probably have to replace after the walls are closed: Install conduit. 1.5" ID minimum, 2" pulls easier with all the other cables you will need because the system changed by the time the builder finished the house... Pulling pre-terminated HDMI is going to cost you the cable you pulled since you can't very well send it back as defective once it is sealed in the wall.

Jimdon. After the wiring was 95% completed, the customer says, "my buddy told me that I chould send a second signal to my plasma so the kids do not have to use the home theater system." So I used a pair of pinnacle pb500 speakers for audio from the plasma. i sent S.video to the plasma. the kids would use the cable reomote and he would use the mx850. everything was fine. Then he started crying that the kids couldn't get the high def channels. That is when I went to the geffen switch. The plasma is set on video 5 and his bad ass kids do not have to touch the system. Yes he paid 30% above retail for everything and his labor was double. I never heard about his"buddy" again
