Does anybody have discrete codes or some kind of work around for the random toggle on a Yamaha CDC-585? I want to use one button (with press / press and hold functionality) on a Speakercraft MZC-66 to play and to activate random. So, when I press play the system will turn off random and play a track. If I press and hold play, the system will turn random on and play a track.
Thanks.

Depending on the length of the command in a string together maybe you can program it into a mx remote or a pronto and create a macro then when you teach the play key you can use the other remote to flash the whole sequence to the Mrc66..
I did this for an old sony remote and I was luck enough to be able to squeeze two commands into each source button...
just a thought
or just program a macro into the button...you can do that.

Pressing "stop" twice takes the 585 out of random mode

Steve, KILLER bit of info I never knew, and I program those things.
Turning off power also does it, but most of these don't have IR power commands.
