Jay: try reading my post again I did not say anything negative with respect to you or Jet Rack. All I said was that it is a hard job to disassociate oneself from a product they developed and are marketing and the person they are on the board (or with their families and friends for that matter). you had started a few thread on Jet rack and \I can't remember the last none jet rack post. I think you have fallen in the trap and it was just a friendly warning. Take it any way you want. It is easy to go from the guy with the interesting product to the one trick pony

I just love how the slightest mention of a product sold by a member on this forum is met with such an unneccesary amount BS. Get a clue you guys. Jay IS a member of our forum as much as all of you, try showing a bit of good humor, maybe assume the best once or twice. It's becoming obvious that some of us on this forum have far too little real work to do, if we are spending this much time flaming other members. Get a life

wow look who is flamming. If you don't like peoples posts just skip over them :)

I wish you all would stop posting posts about the posts that others are posting about posts that others have posted posts about.

Wow, that made me dizzy! Wheee!

I had to clean my camper van the other day and I thought hey!

Why don't I try the high powered pressure washer I got last summer!

The rest is history. To use this type of system you need to forget the rules.

Grease was the main problem with the sticking ventilator coupling, but the soap provided just wouldn't cut the grease.

After some careful examination I decided...

To supply my own! who cares anyhow?

More information on lather and bubble can be found at ...

Larry, That would be you I think? Or would that be me? I don't know.

Anthony. I'm hearing you.

I will be honest, when I first saw
this thread was "oh no not an other Rack thread"

Don't be disappointed if we don't use this in any of the promotional materials.

I'd just appreciate being appreciated no matter what "guy" I am.

I live in a world where we're able change jobs without fear of retribution from [or] disappointment of our peers, friends, family, and yes.. even strangers. We also celebrate their success appropriately.

tippy - thanks for the support. You think this is bad... there have been some catastrophic showings of non support in former threads from day's gone by.

I think one member eventually got taken out by a bread truck even.

Some people have to step up their game after spending their early years busting into chat rooms and posting lines of OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO etc. second after second for 5 minutes at a time.

Oh yeah. Larry, Email me. I have something for you. I finally got more information too.

lol

I think your product looks interesting, but let's face it, if you were not Jay but a new guy that came here most of these guys would have told you to go away. And just hope that it does not come to the point where many of them have jet racks and tell you

Insulting potential buyers is not a good way to generate business.... I can tell you for certain that our 15 Trucks will NOT have jetracks in them anytime soon now.

Impaqt man you are intense! Do you always have a chip on your shoulder? Give the guy a break. Jay has been here a long time and he's doing something that we all should be happy about. Instead of giving him the benefit of the doubt and factoring in that he's not an interloper, maybe we should just be talking about the product and leave the jabs behind.

Maybe Jay doesn't know how to charm you.......well that's quite obvious, but I can tell you that I've had his Jet Rack for a week in my truck. I'm loving the thing. I still can't get over the way the thing looks but I've used it a couple dozen times and the truth is I'm happy to have it. I didn't think it would make that big of a difference but the convenience is one I never considered until the Jet Rack came along. Now I don't think I'd want to work without it.
Jay is just another guy like us Impaqt. He has a wife and kids--a family to feed. We've been hearing all he has to say about his progress and it's time to allow a little compassion and acceptance.
If he walked off the street yesterday as a peddler, I'd say we would all react differently. I do believe that there are times that we can make some exceptions, especially if it's something that improves the daily lives of installers everywhere. I think when people started jumping down his throat he was a little shocked and didn't think that people he's been talking to for years would react the way they have.

Intense? Maybe..... Been around a while myself... Jay has gotten 100 times the leeway we would of shown any other person who showed up here just to pedle his goods.... and when a few people make a comment about the abundance of advertising... Instead of backing down... He kicks it up another notch and acts like he has a right to free advertising here on RemoteCentral..... I find that Rude.

THis is daniels site.... If he doesnt have a problem with this... Thats fine and is none of my business.... But I also have a right to express my opinion as well...

As a native South sider and a long time frequenter of the plaza you reside in... I can't tell you how many hours I spent in Big Boys Toys near the center of the plaza... I even remember being impressed by the cliche' poster.. "The only thing that separates the men from the boys is the size of their toys!" With some guy hang gliding , or how many times I went into the 31 Flavors with .50c to get an ice cream cone. Even though it was never the most glamorous little plaza, I enjoyed hanging out at the hobby shop and talking with the employees.

I bought many little furry creatures and a few slippery ones as well at the pet shop... In fact I still go there when in town with my son. I saw Star Wars for the first time at the glorious theater outside your door and to the right... I loved the water fountain... the gold hooped wall, the deep red and burgundy everywhere! then the future came and destroyed it into profitable little theaters with oil flavored popcorn.

I spent more time hanging out, and eventually buying stuff from MusicCraft than Anthony's spent in the T.W.A.T. thread (sorry Anthony, but it's true!) MusiCraft was beautiful!

I really miss Garffalo's more than anything, especially the one in Olympia plaza ( not the Vollmer road monster)

I remember the race track smoking to the heavens and burning to the ground, Desoto shook our house to the foundation when that mushroom cloud filled the sky. My best friends dad barely made it out alive.

Anyhow... If my saying that I wouldn't like to be a part of your dinner patter is insulting to you, you're taking it way to harshly. It's just a truthful comment.

A lot of stupid shi$ about this or that, or this person or that person, but what he never even realized was what people really thought of him. The moment he left the room, perfectly decent people were rolling their eye's and whispering about what an ass he is.

I'm coming down that way on Saturday. It's my mom's 60th, and us kids are taking Mom's & Pop's out to dinner.

Perhaps I should stop in and apologize for my boorish behavior.

I haven't backed down because some people appriciate the interesting updates...

And I reeeeeeeaaaly don't thinks your contributions count as "100 time the leeway" .... I thought you were a math expert.

Fifteen trucks? WOW! ...I guess you've grown.

Tippy - Thanks again, even if I can't understand everything you say

Larry - I'll respond soooon!

Chic - Can a cat charm a waffle? Thanks! Your more like the Chicago people I know.

Anthony - You are ever the diplomat.. I like it. How can I ever get away and onto other subject when I'm so busy defending myself from you!

Sorry... I thought you had a website where you could post Interesting updates for anyone who wanted to hear them...

My Contributions? DUnno what you mean there... I was refering to the fact that if someone Joined Remotecentral for the sole purpose of free Advertising to a highly professional message forum, that we would jump all over him in a new york minute.... I didnt see anyone say anything about your abundance of jetrack references for quite a while...

Fifteen trucks? WOW! ...I guess you've grown.

I may be off by a couple, but yes... We've grown dramatically.... 3 Pickups, 2 Minivans, 3 Cargo Vans, and 6 Box Trucks..... I guess thats 14........

I've done a little math since that's a large part of Impaqt's argument.
I've taken the last five threads with JET RACK as the subject matter. They strech all the way back ot October of 2004

Here are the results

IN 5 THREADS THERE ARE 101 posts

32% Are informational-- either giving information or responding to questions about Jet Rack

29% Are positive-- positve responses about the product or compliments

28% Are Neutral-- Talking about other things other than the post subject

12% Are Negative-- Getting on the case of the person or the subject matter

Of the 12% negative posts, 41% belong to Impaqt (leading with 5) the other 7 are split between 7 different people.

Can anyone tell me what Impaqt's percentage would be if he were 100 times more negative? Would you instead take the positive comments and reduce them by a similar factor to achieve the proper results? I never was great at math.
