As I have tried to program macros into an MX-600, it seems that it is more limited than the MX-350 I'm more used to using. I thought it might be more powerful, but it seems to be limited to the 3 "M" buttons and the 10 device buttons. Can't I make a macro using a subcategory of one of the device buttons? I can on the 350! If what I am experiencing is real, then the 600 is far less capable than the 350. Am I doing something wrong? I have a device page called DVD for example and on that page is a button called "watch" meaning push here to watch the DVD. I want the macro to power up the TV, Audio, DVD, and set the audio input properly. It seems that I can't do that.
Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong??

that's how it was made to work... 15 macros (the 13 you mentioned, plus the power buttons at the top)
We can do it my way, or we can do it my way while I yell. The choice is yours.

The 350 does have better macro capabilities. Just out of curiosity why would you want to program a watch macro rather than just programing the macro on the dvd device button.

I may not have a really good answer to your question. It feels nice to be able to have a page for each major component and then within the page offer whatever you'd like to do with the component (such as watch, off, and all the misc function keys). To push the DVD key and have it launch into a macro would prevent casually turning it on and off or whatever. On the 600 do you need to hold the device key for a second or two to launch the macro or does it launch at one push? Having to hold it would allow me to do single functions with the device and that's good but the process of having to hold it seems fraught with problems getting a customer to hold it for the right amount of time when they want to and not when they don't, and possibly holding it so long that some devices turn on and off again with toggle power commands. Am I thinking this all wrong?? Might be. I look to your experience. Thanks...
Oh BTW, can you edit the MAIN title like you can with the other remotes? I'd like to put a customized title in place of the MAIN. Haven't figured out how to do that on the 600.
Thanks again..

The 600 just isn't a great remote to be selling to customers. We used to do all Home Theater Master Products. We used only the pc programable ones. I have a MX600 for my personal bedroom system. For selling to customers you really need the one touch macros. We've been doing all RTI remotes lately.

I think I am beginning to feel the same way. The 600 doesn't cut it. I'll try to look into the RTI remotes. You are absolutely right that one touch is what is needed.
Thanks..
