I suppose that a new support person could honestly claim "never seen this before", but I think that manufacturer 'A' would prefer to blame the issue on manufacturer 'B', else 'A' could be exposed to class action law suits, massive returns, and product avoidance. Also there is the "hospital" observation perch. As you walk through a hospital it seems that "everyone" is sick. In our case simply paging through an online forum is not proof that "everyone" is having the issue. Nor is it proof that "everyone" is not having the issue.
