So 2 separate Install’s. Both have a Q80. One is a 65” & other is 85”. Both have a Sonos Arc installed. 65” has 64g ATV & 85” has a 32g.
Audio issues mostly with Atmos but also happens on PCM. Sometimes no audio for like 30 seconds. Work around is to AirPlay audio to the Sonos from AppleTV audio options and then it reverts it back to “tv speakers” everything is up to date, swapped cables etc. changed settings and still does it.
Anyone else see this or has a fix? Thanks!

In the Sonos controller display About My System and check Audio In for ARC. This will not fix anything, but it will show the audio format that ARC is attempting to process.
I've seen this on BEAM with a Sony set. Since we were not using surround speakers I switched to the TOSLINK connection method. A SONY rep suggested that I turn OFF the SONY's eARC feature, but I did not try this.

ARC and Samsung, according to my reading, seem to have more than usual issues. I only have two set up so far, without incident.
One Sony with a BEAM kept switching between the BEAM and TV speakers, so I also went the toslink route. I would do that with an ARC if I had issues. I know that kills Atmos, but working all the time is at the top of my list. I can’t hope for some Atmos content and have dropouts constantly, someone else has to fix this, not me.
Go on the Sonos forums. I had a customer with ARC and a Sony TV, with tremendous lip sync issues, even with a new cable box. The forum had a contributor with a checklist, and boom, one of the things he noted fixed my client’s problem.
Also run the setup for 10-15 minutes and send a diagnostic, then call Sonos.
Good luck.

I don't think the SnapAV B6 binary cables are eARC compatible. Two of them did not work for me and the included cable did.

I was struggling through this with a customer's system. First I went to TOSLINK, but eventually this started to have issues too. Ultimately, the TV went through two updates in the same afternoon and there was a Sonos update too. At that point I was able to switch back to eARC and have not had any further issues.

I'm using the Sonos supplied HDMI cable to BEAM. I have not encountered any HDMI cable issues for connection to ARC or BEAM. (but I have not attempted to use any ancient cables here)

I have read about quite a few Samsung/Sonos Arc dropout issues in the past, but have had no problems with a Samsung QN85QN900a and Sonos Arc, using the Sonos-supplied cable to eARC. (btw it was rather uninspired and unhelpful of Sonos to name their product after an HMDI function.)

A SONY rep suggested that I turn OFF the SONY's eARC feature, but I did not try this. One of my friends and I were discussing this exact issue and he said he just happened to try shutting off e-ARC when using a Sony TV and it seemed to fix his issue (ARC or AMP not recognizine the display). Also, we've noticed that the problems seem to crop up more often when there's a cable box also connected to the display. The units we have around here (xfinity stuff) doesn't give the option to shut off the CEC, so we'll sometime get those inline CEC-omitter plugs (UPDATE to correct - they lift pin 13!). That will sometimes do the trick.

CEC is pin 13. If you are careful, you can mechanically defeat this pin in the cable. However, I don’t recommend doing this to a buried cable, because we can’t predict where the ever mutating HDMI standard might go.

Had the same issue last week with a beam and a Samsung frame. Was on with tech support for an hour. You would think they would have told us it was a known issue
