There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

Looks like most other links about this use Winnie Han's article. Does that make it fake news? We know they sell all kinds of things that aren't what they're said to be, so is it not a possibility?

While I am not quailed to speak about Epoch times, I am qualified to talk about fake chips. That problem is real, and it is not just "fake" chips that are the problem, some major chip mfgr's have turned to second their suppliers to supplement there supply chain. I talked with a major display mfgr last week that was having to do a 10 day burn in on all displays when they arrive because of this. I have said before... Promise no price or delivery time until it is in your hand. This will continue to get worse for a while.

If you instead googled the headline, you could have seen multiple links to the article. You can also find whether an online news source is left, right, or middle. I believe Epoch might be middle-right, which would grade more reliable then Wikipedia itself, which you quoted. To keep you happy, I posted Wikipedia’s co-founder’s blog directly, where he very specifically notes the left leaning, although multiple sites copy his comments as well. [Link: larrysanger.org]

i work for one of those taiwan companies. we are a tier 1 supplier of inductors and other board related items. i can tell you there are countefit peices of what we make. as well as my former relay manufacturer i worked for. the bootlegs and knockoffs are rampant right now. we only have 18 weeks lead time, my old company is 50 weeks lead time. the 2022 model year for automotive are horribly effected. consumer electronics as well. its a mess.
we are getting 2nd and 3rd orders from manufactures that use our products they will order from 2 or 3 manufacturers then cancle the orders when they get the quickest ship date. ots screwing up production and planning and adding unneeded stress to the already fragile supply chain. we have implemented NCNR no cancle no returns on some of our customers. and most new customers

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"... |

I can already see standard excuse from some vendors shifting from "blah blah covid-19 blah" to "blah blah fake chips blah". Honestly, for some, it seems like maybe they have been using "fake" chips for years. No names of course. :P
I kid...of course....mostly. HAHA

The struggle is real in my industry (automotive) and we are way down the food chain as far as this issue is concerned. The whole supply chain issue on all product sucks donkey wevos but anything with electronics...double donkey wevos, cant get cars out the door. Anyone try and get a rental car from enterprise or the like lately?

I wonder what happens when someone goes in and edits out that "far right" BS. Betting it would be changed almost instantly by some in the ultra liberal left. God forbid anyone have centrist or conservative values.

Anyone try and get a rental car from enterprise or the like lately? Yup. Tried to rent a car a few weeks ago. Was impossible to get one from any of the rental companies, and I tried them all. Even tried to rent a Uhaul just to get something. Ended up having to use Uber, which I've never used and never thought I would, to go roughly 150 miles. PS, the driver only stopped talking once to breath the entire trip.
