The one post I did make was removed because it had a question regarding price in it. You would think that CEDIA would embrace users of the forum and it seems to be the only confidential place for industry professionals to discuss business issues including pricing. I would love a private place to bounce ideas off of non-consumers.
with all do respect... i had no idea that you had an experimental surgery to have your balls removed.

Nobody ever seems to mention the CEPro forum.... it is pretty much dead too...
The topics seem to be laid out better and well suited to keeping the discussions seperated, and I like that... but like this forum, the CEPro forum is available to anyone who may stumble upon it, and I don't like that.

I need to go through my papers and get my CEDIA info so I can sign up for that forum...

I guess the exclusionary aspect keeps most of us out.
Even if we are CEDIA members, we would need to jump through the hoops to get the password created.
I do like that idea that the ideas posted wouldn't be directly visible to the weekenders and hobbyists that visit the other sides of this forum... I wonder how many Best Buy hourly salesmen have assembled what they read on our posts and gone on to launch a trunk slam install business??

cepro forum died early because it was so onerous to get into, and had bugs in the beginning--people didn't come back (including myself). We'll relaunch soon and will probably have a protected section.

Worthington has a decent little forum for integrators/dealers also.
